Corinth 5k

The last 5k we ran was the Corinth Rotary run. It was very fun! Instead of regular trophies, they had running shoes with a medal thingy looped through the hole you thread you're laces through. Everyone did great! It wasn't the easiest course, but it wasn't as hard as some.

Violin

I have started taking violin!!! Isn't that cool?! I have always wanted to play since I was little. Recently I asked for it for my birthday. Nana,(Who gave it to me) agreed. Mom looked into it, and it happened that Devin Chamblee had an opening(at first she didn't, but now she does... yea!). Last Friday was my first lesson. It was really fun!!! Thanks SOOO much Nana!!!

Locker hooking

I've discovered a new craft! Its called locker hooking. You use a special tool called a locker hook.

We found out about this craft last Saturday, in Hobby Lobby. We were buying fabric for some aprons that mom is going to make for an open house my Grandmother(Mimi)is having. Mom just saw a book on how to locker hook, and she thought it would be fun.

Well, that's how I started!!! I am working on some coasters for the open house my grandmother is having. Here are some pics. I took of one I have finished. Glad to be posting again!!!

Okay, I know I am copying Martha Chunn on this one, but it was a really good idea!!! ;-) Oh, and just to let you know, if your not on here, its 'cause I either have never been to your house, or forgot you!

Our house smells like(according to Martha, 'cause you can't smell your own house!), Fresh fruit, peanut butter cookies, and banana bread.

The Chunn's house smells like rosemary and basil.

The Riley's house smells like fresh ground spelt(I really can't smell the Riley's house 'cause I'm there so much, but last time I was there, they were grinding spelt!).

The Snyder's house smell's like pasta.

The Smith's house smell's like candels.

Ellie Mathiniena( A 5 year old) is begging me to say her house smells(I'm saying like she did.) Like clean and mommy's perfume.

The Blassangames house smells like their goats. Just kidding Anna! Their house smells like fresh cut roses.

I can't think of any one elses smell, so, "Th-th-thats all folks!!!!"

Bow Ties and Commercial

Today I got to be in a commercial, and they are really going to put it on TV!! Isn't that so cool?!?! Well, you are probably all thinking, "Now why in the world would Hannah be in a commercial?" So I am going to answer that question of yours. Well, My second Cousin(Which we call Uncle by the way)is THE weather man for fox 13 news, so he was asked to be in a commercial. Well, it just so happened that he(they) needed a lot of "fans" for the commercial. SSSOOO, you might have already put 2 and 2 together, and what do you have? He asked me to be in the commercial(with my Mimi, which is who's house I am at right now)! So let me explain one more thing before I tell you about what we did. Every one calls Uncle Joey, "the bow tie weather man" because he always wears bow ties on air. So, any way, hes "famous" for his bow ties. So, now to the commercial. Well(sorry for using well a lot!!), I'm not going to explain what the commercial was for, because it wasn't for a product, any way, its a long, long story. First, we went to his house and filmed all his "fans"(which by the way I was one of) protesting him leaving for L.A. to be their weather man. And then, while still at his house, they held a "press conference" with none other than the "press" with all the fans watching. Then, we all went to the Olive Branch air port(which is VERY small BTW) to film him, and his real family, getting on a plain for L.A. In the end, he and his family fly back to Memphis and he says, "You know what, Memphis is home, I can't leave here!" And they all predicted the weather happily ever after(Heehee!)

Now, I didn't mention it, but all the girls there a bow tie painted on their cheek. Plus, I also didn't say that there were signs they handed out. Well, since I am related to THE weather man, I got to take one home!

Chapter 3
Excitement

The whole clan rushed over to Kimberly's side. "Is it? Yes!! It is! I found a bottle! I found a bottle Pawpaw!" Kim said excitedly. "You sure did Kimmie!" Pawpaw replied. "That's really cool, Kim! You should be proud!" Brian exclaimed. "May I examine it? For scientific reasons of course," Emma asked timidly. "Sure Emma," Kim said as she handed it to her. Jack spoke up, "If you found a bottle, we should be getting close." "Now remember, stay close, there could be a well," Pawpaw said. Emma must not have heard him because she had wandered ahead of everyone. No one noticed she was gone untill they herd,"Help!Help!" It was Emma! Everyone rushed forward looking for her. Then they herd it again, "Help! I sank into a big hole! Help!" Pawpaw was the first to speak, "Hold on Emma! We'll be right there!" when they reached her Brian said while looking down at her, "Emma, I do belive you found the the well!" "It seems as though thats what happened," Pawpaw stated. "Now which of you is the fastest runner?" He laughed when everyone, including Emma, pointed to Brian. "Well, Bri, I think we have our answer! Now as fast as you can up to the house and tell your Nana . . ." The sentence was unfinished because Brian had already started up the hill! While Brian was gone Emma told her story, "I wandered up ahead of all of you, because I wanted to be the first one to find the cabin . . . then, I thought I saw somting in the woods, so I went to check it out. I was almost to the place where I thought I saw a bottle, when the ground started sinking under me! I was very frightened, and thats when I called for help, and you know the rest." Emma smiled sheepishly. By then Brian had come back, not on foot though, he and Nana where riding in a fire truck! "Hold on ma'am! You'll be out in no time!" One of the fire men shouted above the noise of the fire truck. They pulled the fire truck over by the well. Emma expressed her gratitude to the fire men, "Thank you, oh, thank you!!" The fire men pulled a ladder off the fire truck and put it in the well. Emma started up the ladder, when she got to the top, every one started to cheer. Just then Pawpaw appered out of the woods and said, "Emma, I've discovered somthing I think you might be intrested in."

Chapter 2
The Search

"C'mon Emma! Hurry up! The sooner we start looking, the sooner we'll find the cabin!" Jack said.
"I have to finish packing my explorers survival kit!" Emma retorted.
"Well, Pawpaw said we needed to be out by 9:00 and its already 8:45!" Jack returned the comment.
"Break it up you two!!" Brian cut in, "If you don't stop fighting we're sure to be late!"
"Guys, Pawpaw said its time to leave!" Kim said exitedly.

"Pawpaw, are you sure we're goung the right way?" Brian asked doubtfully.
"I'm absolutely, positvely sure." Paw replied determinedly
"Okay, if you say so. I geuss you did come out here at one time. . ."
"Now when we find it, if we find it, watch your step, there could be a well. Your Nana told me to tell that to you." Pawpaw warned.
"Guys hurry!! I think I found something!!" Kim yelled from ahead.

Exiting right?!?! How do you like it so far? Sorry its been a week since I posted, I'm really trying to do better.

CHAPTER 1

Just the Beginning

Kim, Jack, Emma, and Brian were visiting their grandparents house, like every summer before this. They were out on the front porch, listening to one of Pawpaw's stories. He was telling them the one about the old cabin on their property. He said, "One time I was out wandering around in the woods, when I came across something spectacular."
"What was it Pawpaw?", Brian interrupted.
"Let Pawpaw finish Bri!", Emma rebuked.
Pawpaw started again, "Where was I; ah yes, I saw something spectacular. It was . . . a cabin!"
"Cool!! That is so cool Pawpaw!" Brian expressed his enthusiasm.
" That is quite fasinating," Emma stated.
"Do you think we could find it, if you showed us where you saw it?" Kim found her sense of adventure.
"It would be really fun to explore it." Jack finished Kim's thought.
Pawpaw expressed his thoughts also "Well I donno . . ."
"Please Pawpaw, please!" All the Bakers said together.
"Well, I geuss so," Pawpaw gave in.
"Yeah!!" they all said together.
"We'll start tommorrow!" Pawpaw decided.


I know this is a very, very, very short chapter, its more of an intro, but it had too much info to just be an intro. comment and tell me if you like it so far!

My Favorite Flower

My favorite flower is the daffodil. I love daffodils. They are bright yellow. They are like golden cups surrounded by beautiful petals. When the sun shines directly upon them its as if they came down with the light. They are usually seen in gardens, but when they are seen in the woods, they are the 8th wonder of the world. When the dew lands on them, they glisten in the newly risen sun. Daffodils bloom in the summer, which makes them even more enchanting. I love many flowers, but daffodils steal my heart away.

I had to write this paragraph for grammar, I was not very pleased with it, but mom was, so she made me post it. Whats your fav. flower?

Posting again

It has been so long since I posted!! I am very, very, very sorry! We have just been so busy with school! If you have noticed, all my posts are very short, well its because I can't type. But I am going to start posting longer(I Hope!). I am going to start writing a story!! You will have to scroll down and then scroll up while you are reading it. Well, I have many Ideas, but please, comment and give me more!!
